Prices for Lessons & Intensive Courses
Intensive Courses
Although we prefer individuals to learn to drive over a longer period, to allow time for gaining more experience - a key factor in reducing accident risk - we do understand that learning to drive is different for everyone. So, if you have a requirement to learn within a certain timeframe, we'll do our best to tailor an individual intensive course to suit you. The most important thing to us is that you are safe and confident on the road and so we like to provide courses of tuition that will get you through your test AND beyond. We do not, however, have a specific “off the shelf” intensive course, as each learner and his and her needs are different.
Intensive can also mean anything between a week and a couple of months. We shall arrange to carry out an initial driving assessment and talk through the various options available.
What is the price of a standard driving lesson?
If you choose to have weekly lessons, which most people do, these will last between 1 & 2 hours, depending on the amount of driving experience you’ve had. The standard rate is £20 per hour and your lesson includes:

A fully qualified DSA approved driving instructor
- Dedicated 1:1 tuition

Door-to door pick up & drop off, either from work or home

Use of an air-conditioned, dual-controlled Renault Clio
What is the cheapest way of booking my lessons?
You can cut the cost of learning to drive with PDT Driving School by taking advantage of block booking discounts. This will make the hourly price you pay cheaper, the more lessons you book.
